7 Christmas Party Tips for Absolute Fun
Christmas Party Tips Christmas parties can be loads of fun or end up in bucket loads of tears. To make your silly season parties a huge success we're bringing you tips to inspire!

Christmas Party Tip 1

How many work Christmas parties have you gone to where the food has been fantastic and you've had enough to eat? I bet there's been more parties where the nibbles have had a lot to be desired - lukewarm and rubbery is sadly far more the standard than anything interesting. So be sure to have something to eat - and line that stomach with - before you go. A quick curry or pad thai is a great way to start your Christmas party shindig.

Christmas Party Tip 2

When you've had a few glasses maybe that bright idea of telling the bosses what you really think of them isn't really such a bright idea, it's more of a dangerous leap from the nearest bridge, don't do it. If things must be said leave them to at least a few days after the hangover has cleared away and the drink is coffee rather than red wine.

Christmas Party Tip 3

If he's cute and appealing and you've been wondering about him avoid the cliché Christmas party pash in front of everyone. You might be able to have fun with a quiet, out of office hours tryst but avoid the photo copier and colleagues with camera phones who can share the news through out the office in a flash. Your business is your business, not everyone elses!

Christmas Party Tip 4

Getting around at Christmas parties always seems to mean a longer walk than you expect so ditch the staggeringly high high heels, you don't want to look like an uncoordinated fashion tragic who can't hold her wine in front of your bosses and colleagues. Being a tad tipsy is one thing, falling all over the place because those fabulously stunning pieces of art someone is calling "shoes" is a completely different thing.

And your outfit? What do you want to do at the Christmas party? Socialise, dance, eat, drink, have a laugh, trek to the party and to a taxi rank, sit down at times? Then wear what you're comfortable in. Sure, you can look fab but be sure that there's actually enough length in that skirt so you can sit down without showing everyone in the office way too much. Less is not more. Hinting at what might be is far more effective and stylish than flashing everything for everyone.

Christmas Party Tip 6

It seems that most Christmas parties all seem to finish around the same time and taxis are suddenly rare as hen's teeth. So before the first glass of bubbly have a think about how you're going to move on from the party - off to a night club or home? Even book a taxi early, have a regular taxi driver on standby, check out the buses and trains, but have a plan - it's so much easier than having a committee discussion in the wee hours on where to and how.

Christmas Party Tip 7

Doing the Secret Santa gifts? Probably best to avoid regifting what you got at last year's party. The charity donation cards are a great idea and with a positive message inside they can be lots of laughs. It's easy for people you know what they love - earrings for the jewellery girl, cuff links for the stylish dude, iTunes for the dancing queen, but otherwise, what about baking biscuits or making a Christmas tree decoration?

Best Christmas Parties

The best Christmas parties tend to be those where you laugh, eat, drink and be merry and can wake up the next morning remembering what you did and enjoying the memories.

We all go through times where we think "Oh no, did I really say that, did that really happen?" and end up paying for it. So my wish for you this Christmas is a happy and joyous social season where you have a ball of a time and love the photos!
