Caring For Our Native FriendsThe Victorian bushfires have been devasting for wildlife and beloved pets and while local vets, sanctuaries and animals carers are doing their best they still need our help with the ongoing costs of care. The donations of bandages, bedding and needles etc have been overwhelming so it is the continuing financial support that will really make the difference for the rescued animals so as many as possible can be released back into their own homes. Any amount is most welcome - anywhere from $5 to $500 makes the difference. Why not hold a fundraiser at work or school for the animals and make the donations online the easy way? Here are three great animal care centres that will make great use of all financial donations: 1. The Healsville Sanctuary that's part of Zoo's Victoria. Click here to go directly to their donation page. Visit Healsville Sanctuary and get involved in their Unique experiences like being a keeper for the morning, vet assistant for a morning and getting up close and personal with some of their heart touching animals. This is a great opportunity for the kids to get involved and find see the good that is being done. 2. Wildlife Victoria have had 6 shelters destroyed and are caring for 100's of injured animals and really need your financial support. Click here to go to their donation page and learn more about all the good they are doing. 3. The RSPCA in Victoria is making a huge difference across the state and will put all donations to great use for the care of injured animals. Click here to make online donations. Another great way to show your support for a variety of animal centres is to the zoos and sanctuaries, have lunch, doing some shopping or even sponsor an animal (or 3!). What about having a fundraising party at one of the centres where everyone comes along to visit, have lunch, donate and have a fun day while learning about the stories of individual animals and their recovery?
