Faith's Journey of Discovery
Faith Haugh of Victoria
I'm in my:
In My 30's
What inspires you?
People who aspire to be the change in the world that they would like to see.
If you could meet anyone living who would it be?
What would be the 3 most important attributes in a partner to you?
Honesty, compassion, fidelity.
What would one thing you'd like to achieve in the next 6 months?
To educate and promote the public about egg donation.
What are you no good at but simply love?
What are you passionate about?
Giving the public an insight on what infertile couples go through and what egg donation means to them.
What is your life philosophy?
Be the change you want to see in the world.
If you could choose a different career what would it be?
What motivates you - what gets you sparked up and going?
Being told that its impossible or that it can't be done.
What's the best gift you've ever received?
A 4 day trip to Paris from my boss and his wife with all expenses paid.
What's the best thing you do or have done in your life?
Donate my eggs to 10 couples which resulted in 19 donor children.
What should you do more of?
Exercise and put myself first instead of last.
What should you do less of?
Eat creme brulee.
What do you admire about you closest friend?
That he knows everything about me and loves me anyway. Also his ability to tell me when I am wrong or about to do something I will regret and actually make me see sense.
What does quality of life mean to you?
It's how you life your life not how long your life is. I would rather have 10 minutes of wonderful than a lifetime of nothing.
What are three things you want to do before you die?
Become a midwife, write a book on all the crazy experiences I have as an egg donor, and have Monash IVF employ me as a consultant for couples looking for egg donors.
What did you learn from the hardest thing you've ever gone through?
From 2 violent relationships I finally learnt my "worth". As in I learned that I was not all the names I had been repeatedly called etc and that I was worthy enough to look the world in the eye and be taken seriously. (ed. yes, you most certainly are worthy of that)
What values do you want your children to learn from you?
To never ever ever give up - regardless of what it is she wants to achieve and to also realise her worth.
Do you dance, sing, laugh enough?
I sing out loud at 4am for 30min in the car to work as if I myself am Lady Gaga. I laugh alot at work - a laugh that starts from the belly. I dance my "snoopy" dance when I have achieved a goal.
Where would you live for 12 months if it could be anywhere?
Paris - I instantly feel more feminine, worldly etc when I am there. Maybe because it took me so long to get there in the first place.
What are the books you've learnt the most from?
Tuesday with Morrie
What are the films you've learnt the most from?
Love Actually, The pursuit of happiness
What would you like to achieve working with a life/business coach?
To be more resourceful, efficient and to be shown a different direction in trying to achieve what I want to do.
