What's the location of the seminars?

The Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority is the location sponsor for the seminars as part of The Rocks Pop-Up so all our seminars are being held in the inspiring heritage buildings at The Rocks.

Our current location is 13 Cambridge Street, The Rocks.

What time do the seminars start?

The seminars all run to the same schedule with:

5.30 for a 6pm start with networking, wine and nibbles

6.30 - 7.30pm presentation - this can sometimes run over with the agreement of the presenter and the audience, particularly if there's a lot of discussion and questions being answered.

7.30 - 8.30pm networing with wine and nibbles - this is also an opportunity to ask the presenter specific questions and talk through ideas with other like minded entrepreneurs you've met through out the evening.

Are tickets transferable?

Yes, it's completely easy to transfer tickets - just talk with Belinda of She Inspires and attendee lists can be updated. Tickets can be transferred to individuals and/or to different seminars in the series.

What if I bought a ticket and can't make it on the night?

You can easily transfer your ticket to another seminar in the series. Just talk with Belinda of She Inspires so attendee lists can be updated - no matter the reason, it's fine to do.

Am I going to be sold something at the seminars?

No, the seminars are all about networking and education. All our presenters are top of their field and make their living from what they are talking about and you are welcome to seek them out for their professional series but you won't be subject to a big sales spiel  The seminar is about education and information that you can take away from the night and put immediately into use.

Who goes to the seminars?

The seminars are for business women and men who are passionate about their enterprises and want to make them grow through smart and efficient marketing. Our attendees range from entrepreneurs already using social media to promote their business to those who are starting off with their research and education so they can make an informed decision about this broad area.

How does the networking work?

Networking is a core feature of the evenings to give you the opportunity to meet other like minded entrepreneurs as well as industry and government representatives.

Time is made available both before and after the seminar for you to meet and mingle. We often have upcoming presenters attend and it's important for them to meet attendees and get a good idea of needs and requirements.

Who are the VIPs and industry and government representatives attending the semianrs?

From the beginning of the seminars in 2011 I've focused on having VIPs such as the NSW Small Business Commissioner and NSW State Ministers attend, such as Transport Minister Berijiklan and Small Business Minister Hodgkinson, as well as industry and government representatives because it's really important to give access to these people for business owners.

Usually access like this is at big lunches coming with big price tickets and it's not within range for business owners to actually have the opportunity to meet and talk with key influencers. And they need to hear from us, just as much as well need to hear from them.

The Australian Gift and Homewares Association is a sponsor of the seminars and are available to meet with to talk about industry issues as well as membership questions.

Representatives from Trade and Investment NSW are also regular attendees.

Who are the presenters involved?

The quality of the presenters directly results in the quality of seminars and from the beginning we've been exceptionally fortunate with the high standard of our presenters.

Presenters include Jen Bishop of Dynamic Business magazine, Suzy Jacobs of She Business, Philip Shaw of CleverClicks, Mat Beeches of Shoe String Launch, Angela Vithoulkas of Vivo Cafe and Eagle Waves Radio, Catriona Pollard of CP Communications, Laurel Papworth, Shona Mackin of SocialFace and Andre Culligan of Unimail. Can I get the presentations and podcasts online after the seminar?

We work to publish on the Presenter's page the presentations and podcasts from each seminar. We started podcasting in April and announce updates via the email newsletter.

These presentations and podcasts are great ways to jog your memory about notes and ideas you thought about on the evening. They do not cover any of the networking side of things.

How do I sign up for the seminar email newsletter?

The latest news about the seminars is shared in the regular email newsletter that you can join by clicking here.

Who runs the seminars?

Belinda Stinson of She Inspires is the organiser of the seminars. The evenings are run with the help of Tina Clark of Laurentide Financials and a dynamic team of interns.
